First and foremost, consider jet lag like an annoying, but persistent door to door salesman. If you ignore him, he’ll eventually go away. But if you open the door and let him in, your whole day will be ruined. Fight it. Keep moving, drink some coffee, do some jumping jacks, whatever it takes. Just don’t go to bed until the locals do (even if it’s just to take a “little nap”.). You’ve spent too much time, too much effort, and too much money to waste it away sleeping in a hotel room! After a couple of days, he’ll quit knocking, you’ll be adjusted, and you won’t have to worry about him anymore.
Paying for stuff: Withdraw money from a bank or ATM, and pay cash instead of using your debit card everywhere you go. Why, you might ask. It’s because most transactions paid with foreign credit or debit cards, a small percentage fee is tacked on EVERY time you use it, and that can add up. My bank does charge for ATM withdrawals not made at any of its locations, so I usually try and withdraw $300 or $400 a time to minimize the number of times I am charged. I carry the majority of it in my travel wallet, and spending money for the day in my front pocket so that I can get at it easy. Try and use ATMs at reputable big banks, so that you can be assured you’re not charged another fee, or given a shady exchange rate that some less reputable places tend to apply as well. The function of corporate travel agencies and having a dedicated corporate travel agent is very significant especially for making travel arrangements whether domestically or overseas. Acting as your own travel agent will most probably lead you to a losing end. Take time to ponder what you really need for your next travel plans. Do you want to make the arrangements yourself or get the services of a professional corporate travel agent?
Making the arrangements on your own might look easy simply because all you need is do some research online. However, it is very time consuming jumping from website to website that might provide you the services you need. An hour might not be enough going through all of the best deals that you will find and sometimes they’re not even the best out there! And if it so, do you have more than an hour to spare? Don’t you think it is best to obtain the help of the corporate travel agencies who can perform the job in time as they are more trained to serve the purpose? Travel Insurance – Avoid Becoming a Statistic

We have all seen and read media reports and statistics about the perils of not taking out travel insurance. There is certainly plenty of information on the internet for travellers regarding the importance of insurance. Despite this, however, recent research by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) indicates that one in five British travellers still neglect to take out travel insurance for their trips and holidays.
The British Foreign Office and their ‘Know Before You Go’ service provides excellent and free travel advice and country information to assist travellers before they set off. They also warn of the potentially dire financial consequences for those who risk setting off without travel insurance.
It appears that despite all the warnings many holidaymakers are still either unaware of the risk they are taking, or prepared to take a chance. This is a case of false economy as the cost of travel insurance is very cheap compared to the bills that could mount up over problems that arise while travelling overseas.
